You know the story. A man goes on a journey and hands his servants wealth: five bags of gold to one, two to another, and one to the last, each according to his ability.
The first two put the money to work and doubled it. The master comes home and says the words every one of us wants to hear. Well done, good and faithful servant.
Then there is the third one.
He did not lose the money. Read it again. He did not gamble it, he did not waste it, he did not get scammed. he protected it perfectly. He buried it where nothing could touch it and he handed it back exactly the way he received it.
And the master called him wicked and lazy and sent him out.
The first time I really saw that, I had to sit down. Because I had spent years being proud of exactly what got her sent away.
I was good with money. I saved. I was careful. I did not take risks. And what I called being responsible, scripture called burying it.
Here is the part that undid me. The master did not say you should have made me more. He said at the very least you should have put my money with the bankers so it earned interest. The Lord is talking about deposits and interest and return. In red letters.
He is not interested in preservation. He is interested in multiplication.
Which means the house you have not bought is not a maybe you will get around to. It is a mandate you have been given.
That is what this workshop is. Five days to stop burying and start multiplying.
